Updates On KL Trip
Well people, we now have 24 people for the trip,
15 Boys and 9 Girls. I've booked 8 triple rooms; comes with Breakfast(2 Days) and Transport.
You guys are required to gimme the downpayment of S$24/- per pax by Thursday!!!
I will be making my way to pay tha agent on the following Monday-31st Oct 2005.
This payment will ensure our hotel accommodation and the trip booklet that will be given to ya...
The Remaining Payment will be made 1 Week Before the Trip - 5th Dec 2005.
I will be collecting the remaining payments on the 1st Week Of December. So, please get your money ready on time to avoid complications...
For those who are concern about your money usage, you may contact me personally. Your money is used up properly and sincerely.
Well, this is all the latest information i have to inform for now, Hope you guys are studying hard thus far???? and i'll see ya soon!!!

Opinions ....
okay i wanted to type this in the tag-bar but i was afraid there wouldn't be sufficient space..
i prefer the proposal taj got too... but i'm hanging onto mine till monday because.....................

you see.. i'm playing one agency against the other.. i told the travel agent i got about what taj's travel agent proposed..u know... price, bus, accomodation and stuff.. and i was like "is your pakage negotiable reguarding price and all?"
so he told me to hang in there and on monday,tomorrow, when he gets back into the office, he'll give me a new quotation. so now we're gonna see which is better. or which keeps poking their calculators and repeating "best price! best price! come i give you the best price!"
we also have to make it clear to both agents that if insufficient people are going, we'll probably be cancelling the trip.
which is why we need all of you guys to confirm by tomorrow, monday, 10th october 2005. it's like doom's day or sumthin.. heh..
we understand abbie's points and our parents' concerns and all.. so like i said, we coming up with a notification form (which we will use some of the class funds to photocopy) and we're gonna give it to all parents. whether it is you're going or not. just to let them know. it would be best for your parents to sign it in approval and state whether they allow you to go. .. ... iono.. i'm gonna see what taj and dhab have come up with tomorrow..
so yeah.. what we need now's to confirm the number of people going .. and umm... then we'll get the BEST PRICE and collect the money from everyone going.
one more thing .... (i feel like jackie chan's uncle lol)
abbie mentioned she wanted to handle the money.. (greedy hor? *shakes head* =P) if she still wants to... i'm gonna need like one of you big strong hunks ... (the volleyballers excluding aaron cuz he didnt say he'd protect the girls on the trip.. heh) to kinda like "protect" abbie when we go make the payment.
it's just a precaution la.. cuz we'll all be handing money to her in large amounts in cash and we dont want a twig to be snapped by the wind in this case do we?

ok i'm on the phone with taj now..
sotong... about what you said about genting, according to taj, it's apparently not as safe as sunway lagoon.. and it's also more expensive la...the hotel rooms there are also smaller than the ones we can get in KL city.
here are some adjustments to Tajuddin's quotation..
bus will stop at yong peng food court (somewhere around JB) for breakfast
reason:
we will be meeting at about 5.45
bus leaves at 6
therefore, there's practically no time for us or the bus driver to have breakfast before that..
we'll be issuing a notification form to ya'll to show ur parents... it's got the rules and regulations and stuff... just to let your parents know what this about and what will be going on during the trip. also the do-s and don'ts..
* we've gotta confirm all this by tuesday (11th October 2005) guys..so please ask your parents if you can go so that we know how many people are going? message either taj or me (gen) as soon as you know.

gen here... aite.. i know ya'll got your concerns and all.. we're trying to make things as safe as possible and yea, we do realise the pros and cons.. like danger and stuff.. but i hope our parents feel we're mature and old enough to pretty much be able to look after ourselves.. especially being in a large group of 20 odd people... i'm not saying anything against them...if they dont allow it, it's ok..we can always organise something else.

coach at our disposal (we can take the bus practically anywhere we like during the entire trip)

2 nights at crown prince hotel (if i'm not wrong it's a 4 or 5 star hotel)
for sunway lagoon,we may buy tickets on the spot as a group as we will recieve a discount
we've gotta pay for the parking of the bus which either cost RM45 or RM90 (the lady didnt make it clear)

point-to-point coach service (coach isn't at our disposal)

hey guys , how's preparation coming along ? hope it's been so far so good :)
i've got some important opinions that i hope yawl will give me your kind attention and patience as i mention my points out .
about the KL trip , i was apparently given a serious and stern NO from my father when i asked if i could go , even when i said with a tour guide . he's really serious about the dangers in KL . i guess many of you don't experience any danger or have heard stories about it , so you're confident of being safe , but i guess wanna remind yawl that we'd be going to a foreign country (not our lovely singapore) and there are some things that might happen while we're there .
we shouldn't have the mentality of having the same safety that we have in singapore while in KL .
i'm not trying to persuade you all to cancel this whole trip of course , in fact it makes my heart jump when i see gen's notes about it . and i would dieeee to go holidaying with you lovely people , but is there anyway that we can accommodate and compromise abit ? if i'm the only one not allowed to go then i guess you don't have to make changes just for me , but we'll see if other parents disagree with this trip as well , okay ?
erm okay sorry for being kinda wordy but i'm expressing this because i'm concern about our safety. i know that zhi zong and edwin says i should tell my parents that my class have macho guys to take care of us (haha so sweet) , but you do know that it's not going to help a lot , right ? ( i'm not denying that they're macho k ! lol)
firstly , we girls cannot put our trust that the guys will be the ones that's gonna be responsible for anything that untoward happens to us
secondly , if they're responsible for us girls , who's gonna be responsible for them boys ? (they might not be able to take care of themselves even)
thirdly , i'm sure you people will feel much safer to have much older adults to come along , especially adults who can assist us in our activities and planning to KL
i know yawl are looking forward to the KL trip , but please think twice about the cons and its consequences . i want us to return back to singapore with a smile on our face you know :)
